ಆಗ ಮೋವಾಬಿನ ರಾಜನು, ತನ್ನ ನಂತರ ರಾಜನಾಗುವ ಹಿರಿಯ ಮಗನನ್ನು ಕರೆದೊಯ್ದನು. ಮೋವಾಬಿನ ರಾಜನು ನಗರವನ್ನು ಸುತ್ತುವರಿದಿರುವ ಗೋಡೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ತನ್ನ ಮಗನನ್ನು ವಧಿಸಿ ಸರ್ವಾಂಗಹೋಮವನ್ನಾಗಿ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದನು. ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯವು ಇಸ್ರೇಲಿನ ಜನರನ್ನು ತಳಮಳಗೊಳಿಸಿತು. ಇಸ್ರೇಲಿನ ಜನರು ಮೋವಾಬಿನ ರಾಜನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ತಮ್ಮ ಸ್ವಂತ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿ ಹೋದರು.

મોઆબના રાજાએ તેના પછી તેનો જયે પુત્ર જે રાજા થવાનો હતો તેને લઇને નગરના કોટ પર તેનું બલિદાન ચઢાવ્યું, આથી ઇસ્રાએલીઓ એટલા તો બેબાકળા બની ગયા કે, તેઓએ પીછે હઠ કરીને પોતાને દેશ પાછા ચાલ્યા ગયા.
